The Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve is a gorgeous park, with miles of flat groomed trails that are perfect for cross-country skiing in the winter and horseback riding in the summer. The large loops will take you around lakes, through the deep forest, and across undeveloped plains. See if you can spot deer, foxes, coyotes, and a variety of fowl.

Explore 14,000 acres of eastern Minnesota in the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge by foot, bike, snowshoes, or skis! Some of the most popular visitor activities include wildlife viewing, hiking, and hunting. Dogs on leash are welcome to explore the 30 miles of trails. There is shore and ice fishing for bass, crappie, and catfish year round, but boat fishing is only permitted on the Minnesota River and Credit River.
